1.Contact Friends of Falun Gong USA to register with them: info@fofg.org
2. Once permission is granted by FoFG USA, go to the Student Government office or visit the school website (Student Services/Government/Clubs&Organization) to obtain the policies and procedure documents and application forms.
3. Most often they require you to attend a ‘Mandatory Organization Meeting’.
4. Obtain the ‘Recognition Packet’: for Organization Recognition Policies and Procedures’.
a. Full Recognition--qualifies for school funding, office space, and reserving conference rooms. Must meet application deadline, usually a couple of weeks after the start of the semester.
b. Partial Recognition--only qualifies for office space, and reserving conference rooms. Apply anytime during the academic calendar. Could still participate in any events on campus.
5. Follow the Recognition Packet and turn in all the required documentations to the Student Government. Usually they will require a Constitution and By-Laws for the club that summarizes the club’s purpose, membership, elections, duties of office, and terms of office, etc. The student government should have a sample Constitution for you to refer to.
6. You will most likely need a Sponsor and a sponsor letter. The Sponsor could be a member of the faculty or staff.
7. You must recruit from 4-10 members (depending on the school).
