Friends
of Falun Gong USA thanks you for your interest in
becoming a volunteer. Most non-profit organizations
could not run without the help of dedicated volunteers
and we welcome your help
During the next
12 months there will be several
opportunities for you to become
actively involved in helping our
cause.
Some examples of the work that needs to be done are the
following:
- Drafting
letters that can be used
by all Friends of Falun Gong
USA members in various campaign
initiatives, such as letters
to the government, or businesses
with ties to China.
- Using
your graphic arts skills
to design flyers, posters,
or postcards for various
campaign initiatives.
- Proofreading
or editing letters.
- Starting
a petition drive in your
neighborhood.
- Phoning
your congressmen and senators
to raise awareness of our
issues.
- Setting
up a table to collect petition
signatures and pass out information
at your town’s next
street fair.

Join the "Sister
City" Project
FoFG USA is looking for volunteers to send letters to towns across
the USA that have a “Sister City” relationship with China.
Our goal is to encourage a dialogue between local U.S. government
officials and their counterparts in the Sister City to raise local
government's awareness of the persecution and help stop the human
rights abuses in that Sister City.
As a volunteer, you'll "adopt" a U.S. city or town and
its Sister City in China. You'll choose which city you’d like
to work on. To see a list of cities, visit http://www.embassiesinchina.com/sistercities.
As the volunteer in charge of a particular city and its Chinese “sister,” you’ll
be doing the following tasks:
1. Researching to find out the names and addresses of the mayor and
council members of the U.S. town you have chosen.
2. Mailing them a letter that you'll personalize with their information,
and two brief supporting documents downloadable from our website.
